What are the sanctions?
On June 12, 2024, the U.S. Department of the Treasury, Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) issued additional sanctions against Russia.
These sanctions prohibit the export, sale or supply by U.S. companies of various IT services, including certain “cloud-based services” related to enterprise management software, directly or indirectly to any person located in Russia, absent authorization from OFAC.
These sanctions go into effect on September 12, 2024.
What is Sentry doing in response to the OFAC sanctions announced on June 12, 2024?
In order to comply with these sanctions, Sentry will:
Terminate paid accounts with all customers located in, or organized under the laws of, Russia, effective September 10, 2024;
Block access to Sentry by any person located in Russia beginning September 10, 2024; and
Not accept payment from any Russian customer effective September 10, 2024.
What if my organization is not located in Russia, but I have Russian-based team members?
The OFAC sanctions prohibit U.S. persons from providing certain “cloud-based services” to or for the benefit of any person located in Russia. Thus, as of September 10, 2024, no persons located in Russia will be able to access Sentry.
